KMW Takes Over MAN-Mobile Bridges

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has acquired MAN-Mobile Bridges GmbH and has thus decisively strengthened its key position in the market for land defence systems. In Munich, last Friday, 08 April 2005, Frank Haun, member of the KMW Board of Management and its deputy chairman, signed a contract with MAN Technologie AG that provides for the transfer of MAN-Mobile Bridges to Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co.KG, subject to the consent of the Federal Cartel Office.

Earns $203.7 Million Contract for U.S. Army Modular Fuel Farm System

Engineered Support Systems, Inc. received a $203.7 million contract with the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) to produce the Load Handling System Modular Fuel Farm (LMFF) bulk fuel storage and distribution system. The firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract will be performed over five years, with an initial delivery order of $6.28 million, according to Gerald A. Potthoff, Engineered Support Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

CARACAL, a new tactical vehicle for the Bundeswehr Rheinmetall and Iveco Magirus enter cooperation agreement

Rheinmetall and Iveco Magirus have agreed to work together in the field of wheeled, 6 to 8 ton-class armoured vehicles for the German market. As part of this agreement, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH of Kiel, the Land Systems division of the Rheinmetall Group, has obtained the German rights to Iveco's newly developed Light Modular Vehicle (LMV).
