ASTRUM (UK) Ltd is the new name for William Cook Defence Ltd and William Cook Intermodal Ltd – experts in the design and manufacture of steel components.
Astrum works in partnership with customers to provide a complete engineering solution, supplying cast products and complex engineered assemblies in high strength steels, other metals and polymers.
Astrum’s defence customers include the UK Ministry of Defence, overseas governments and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). We are the preferred supplier to some of the world’s leading Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) manufacturers.
Our product portfolio includes track systems for AFVs, a range of running gear products including road wheels, suspension castings, sprockets and other essential structural castings in cast armour.
Our design focus gives our customers products that are fit for purpose. Astrum has, for example, designed a range of single and double pin track systems that meet our customer’s exacting design requirements for high durability, extreme terrain affordability, heat resistance, low weight and low maintenance for the full spectrum of duty cycles.
