THOR is the representative in Latin America of Israeli company Controp, specializing in electro-optical systems. THOR has supplied the Colombian army with more than 20 systems, which gives extensive experience, knowledge, support and training opportunities that solve most of the problems that arise when acquiring this type of technology. Together with the Colombian Navy, THOR has developed a family of Myolnir Remote-Controled Weapon Stations that can use 7,62 mm, 0,50", 20 mm, 25 mm and 30 mm caliber weapon systems. More than 15 systems have been delivered. This allowed the company to enter foreign markets with products designed and manufactured in Colombia, as well as improving the capabilities of the country's Armed Forces and reducing dependence on foreign companies. |
