The modular Overhead Weapon Station supports various types of small and medium caliber machine guns. OWS-25 is a larger version of the OWS, accommodating a 25mm gun with a dual feed and a 7.62mm coax machine gun. It offers full gunner protection. The low weight (only 1,000 kg).

  • 7.62mm coax machine gun internal cocking

  • Solid state controlled electric drive system for traverse and elevation

  • Anti-collision system for vehicle interface safety

  • Remote control operation for the commander use (optional)

  • Anti Tank Missile: Launcher with two Malyutka missiles or RAFAEL SPIKE missiles (other optional)

  • Coax: 7.62mm machine gun as a coaxial weapon

  • Smoke: 2x3 smoke grenade launchers (optional)

  • Main: 140 HE rounds ready for use; 60 AP rounds ready for use

  • Anti Tank Missile: 2 missiles ready for use

  • Coax: 250 rounds ready for use

  • Coax cocking facility from inside and outside of the vehicle

  • Traverse: Electrically controlled nx360 deg.

  • Elevation: Electrically controlled, Elevation range: -11 deg. to + 60 deg. Manual backup drive

  • Main: Peritelescopic combined day / night sight

  • Supplementary: 4 vision blocks

Power supply

  • 24 VDC

OWS 7.62 and 12.7 mm. versions are also available, offering full gunner protection, and low weight. These stations are in operational use by the Israel Defence Forces.
