Designation:

COMBAT PTV

Info
Manufacturer: Armet Armored Vehicles - AAVI
Product type: Armoured Vehicles
Name: Armoured car

As a solution to meeting the budgetary limitations of police agencies, the COMBAT PTV has been developed as an entry level ballistically protected armored police rescue vehicle.

With a low initial capital cost, the COMBAT PTV is armored to defeat projectiles fired from military rifles with rounds such as the 7.62 x 51mm M80 and the 5.56 x 45mm M855 ball ammunition.

If armored piercing (AP) rounds are a future concern, the COMBAT’s protective armored system is suitable for modification with a replacement upgraded armoring kit using basic garage tools without any welding or other sophisticated equipment. The ballistic glass may be easily removed by the end user and replaced with a kit of a higher protective level. Likewise, the interior opaque armor may be easily removed and appliqué armor installed on the interior of the vehicle.

The vehicle will be wired by ARMET ready for the installation by the end user of communications and emergency lighting systems. The number and position of windows and gun ports may be selected by the end user. Seating arrangements are selected by the end user.

It is anticipated that in future years, annual operating budgets will likely be used to purchase other fitments such as those for the storage of weapons, searchlights, turrets, rams or NBC filters and they are easily installed by the end user.

The COMBAT carries a crew of up to ten persons in relative comfort with climate controlled air conditioning units in the front and rear compartment.
