Sagem Defense Securite comprises two divisions: Sagem Avionics and Sagem Optronics and Defense.

Sagem Avionics

A specialist in inertial navigation technologies, Sagem Avionics develops and produces a vast range of equipment, from small vibrating gyros for vehicles or light weapon systems, to the precision navigation sensors used on nuclear submarines, as well as complete navigation systems.

Our solutions meet the needs of a wide variety of applications on all types of platforms: combat vehicles and naval vessels, airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, guided weapons. Evolving over the years from equipment supplier to systems integrator, the Division covers all aspects of avionics, an expertise we apply to a number of modernization projects, in particular the retrofit of combat aircraft (planes and helicopters).

This systems-level expertise also includes mission planning systems for military aircraft, and information systems on commercial aircraft, especially the new Airbus A380 super-jumbo.

Sagem Optronics and Defense

A specialist in infrared optronics, Sagem Optronics and Defense offers a complete range of systems and equipment: from night vision goggles to periscopes on nuclear submarines, as well as optronics pods for weapon systems and aircraft. In addition, we offer a complete range of infrared equipment for detection, warning, terminal guidance, tracking and surveillance, sighting and fire control.

Optronics by the Division are used in a wide variety of environments: air-land, air-naval, aeronautics and space. In addition, Sagem Optronics and Defense is prime contractor for the French "FELIN" program, designed to provide soldiers with an integrated combat outfit, now in the qualification phase.

Sagem Defense Securite is the European leader in tactical UAV systems.
