ROSY

Info
Manufacturer: Rheinmetall Defence
Product type: Screen Laying Systems
Name: Self-screening system

ROSY is the brand new RAPID OBSCURING SYSTEM of Rheinmetall Defence for protection of vehicles against all line-of-sight weapons, such as small arms, RPGs and Laser guided weapons.

ROSY can be easily mounted on each vehicle using the "one click adapter".

The unique new Rosy smoke protection system offers light military and civilian vehicles protection from unexpected attacks, e.g. during patrols or when travelling in convoys. The smoke cartridges create an instantaneous, dense wall of smoke, concealing the vehicle and its passengers and significantly reducing the danger of enemy hits.

Unlike the conventional smoke protection systems in use around the world today, RosyŽ is able to generate dynamic smoke screens as well as spontaneous, large-area and multispectral interruption of the line of sight (LOS). RosyŽ thus provides sustained protection for moving and stationary objects. Moreover, its multimission capability represents a sure defence against stream and wave attacks.

Due to its integrated IR jamming and decoying capabilities, RosyŽ effectively counters conventional weapons, weapons with optical devices and laser distance measurement.

Key Characteristics:

  • Immediate and dynamic screening

  • Multispectral effectiveness against TV-, E0-, IR-, IIR-, laser- and SACLOS-guided weapons

  • 360° protection

  • Multimission capability

  • Riot control missions (teargas, flash bang)
