The technology of weapon stations is not new. However, the WAVE-300 is an entirely new concept of a new Eastern weapon system based on NSVT 12.7mm/PKT 7.62 mm , which was designed and developed to offer the best possible solution to crew survivability and operators' protection, which are the main features of remote controlled weapon stations, installed on armored vehicles or static platforms. In modern battlefield, especially in urban and anti-terror warfare, troops equipped with WAVE weapon station would not be exposed to enemy fire but capable to use all their available firepower while being well protected behind or under the WAVE shield.
