Autonomous Solutions, Inc. designs and manufactures unmanned vehicles for a variety of corporate and military customers. ASI has extensive experience in the automation of large and small scale vehicles and machinery with an emphasis on mission planning, sensor fusion, obstacle avoidance, multi-vehicle control, and point and click ease of use.

History

Autonomous Solutions Inc. began as a spin-off company in 2000 from the Center for Self Organizing and Intelligent Systems (CSOIS) at Utah State University (USU). ASI was founded by a group of researchers from the Center in order to take the ideas and technologies developed at the center into the commercial sector. From this beginning, ASI has grown to employ over 40 employees at two locations in Logan, Utah.

Core Strengths

ASI specializes in a wide range of autonomous, semi-autonomous, and tele-operated systems. We have significant experience automating commercially available vehicles and also in from-the-ground-up robotic vehicle design. Our Mobius software provides precision multi-vehicle control and intelligent path planning. ASI is strongly committed to the JAUS/SAE Standard. Not only is all of our software is based on the standard, but also company CEO Melvin W. Torrie is currently serving on the JAUS/SAE Executive Board. Sarah A. Gray is also involved in the JAUS committee, holding the titles of Mission Planning Task Group Chair and Information Modeling Subcommittee Vice Chair.
